10 Years At Soulheart Revisited

Wow, 10 years at Soulheart—what a ride! I came in with a few years of nonprofit print design under my belt, and my first gig was creating a flyer for a boat company. I started out mastering the art of turning ideas into something tangible on paper. Fast forward a decade, and I’ve evolved from designing on paper to building websites, running digital ad campaigns, and now leading the charge as VP of Organic Growth and People. Plus, as an active Pastor, I’m also the resident chaplain here at Soulheart—a role that might just be my favorite. I’ve found my groove helping websites get found on search engines like Google. Now, I even host a podcast where I break down all those tricky SEO concepts into bite-sized pieces anyone can understand. It’s been a wild journey, packed with challenges and opportunities that pushed me to grow in ways I never imagined.

But here’s something you might not know: I trained in Muay Thai and MMA for many years and even coached at Arizona State University. That experience taught me to love the fight—the strategy, the determination, the push to outmaneuver your opponent. And honestly, that’s exactly how I approach SEO and marketing. It’s a battle to win the attention of your audience against your competitors, and I thrive in that fight.

One of the coolest things about my time at Soulheart has been the chance to help businesses and nonprofits make real, positive impacts. Whether it’s a small nonprofit making a big difference in their community or a business innovating in their field, being part of their journey has been nothing short of awesome.

I’ve had the privilege to work with some seriously talented people—marketing pros who are not just good at what they do, but who also challenge the status quo. My content team blows my mind every week with the quality of work they are producing. The ads team which is now headed by someone who has taken it further than I would have been able to is absolutely crushing it; bringing in the results that our clients are needing. The development team is building websites that are groundbreaking. The design team continues to push the boundaries with their top-tier designs. Our Social Media team is taking ideas and turning them into tangible results. These collaborations have taught me so much, and they’re a big part of why I’m still as passionate about my work today as I was on day one. I couldn’t imagine working with a better group of marketing professionals.
